What is Medical Marijuana?
Weed, Mary Jane, Ganja, Pakalolo, The Devil’s Lettuce – Cannabis is a plant that goes by many nicknames but is most commonly known as “Marijuana.” Understandably, there are many in society who consider this plant as a drug due to the abusive nature some users have towards it, but marijuana has been used holistically in medicinal treatments for over 5,000 years as a way to inhibit persistent pain in patients.
Over the years, the medical community has discovered the true, natural benefits that marijuana can provide. In 2016, the state of Florida passed Amendment 2, legalizing medical marijuana use for qualified patients.
